Highly productive, effective and integrated business units

In addition to our blogs, the team at DLPA have also written a number of publications highlighting the importance of an aligned workforce. We can also recommend some other high value publications.

The Feminine Leader

The Feminine Leader is a leader who embraces their differences, and leads with courage and conviction – both in who they are and what they stand for. The Feminine Leader enrols those around them in change initiatives and works adaptively to react quickly to changing circumstances. Critically, The Feminine Leader works inclusively and with strength. As The Feminine Leader is a leader who embraces who they are and uses that to lead more effectively, by giving of their genuine selves, the exact form varies from person to person. What is common to all, though, is that by being clear on their values and their strengths and weaknesses, they are able to effectively lead teams in a way that is productive, profitable and sustainable.

Free Resources

DLPA is constantly writing articles and white papers on topics which we believe are relevant to the leaders of today. We would love you to download our free resources and feel free to share them around. If there is a topic you would like us to research and comment on, please let us know and we can see what we can do to make it happen!

The following books are a selection of highly recommended books from some of our favourite authors:

The Happiness Trap, Russ Harris

This is a fantastic resource based on the powerful ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) approach, and provides an easy to read introduction to those who are not therapists themselves. It has an interesting take on our obsessive pursuit of happiness and provides excellent tools on accepting that negative thoughts are just part of life, and how to manage them. Check out his website for a vast array of free resources too!

Rising Strong, Brene Brown

One of the many reasons we like Brene Brown is because she is a highly qualified researcher, and refers to evidence throughout her books. Her work on shame and vulnerability has been revolutionary. In this book, Brene shares her thoughts on how to rise from our falls, overcome our mistakes and face hurt in a way that brings more wisdom and whole heartedness.

Thinking Fast and Slow, Daniel Kahneman

Not for the faint hearted, this book details the two different ‘operating systems’ with which humans typically think; System One is all about intuitive thinking and is fast, automatic and emotional whilst System Two is based on rational thinking and is slow, deliberate and systematic. Fascinating insights into persuasion and how irrational we can be!

The Happiness Advantage, Shawn Accor

This Harvard University lecturer draws on research and his own stories and case studies from thousands of Fortune 500 executives. He shares his thoughts on how to manage workload, stress and negativity and how much impact happiness has on success (not the other way around!).

Software designed to support an outcome.

Not a ‘one size fits all’ solution.

A development plan that allows for goals to be captured, measured and discussed throughout the year, leading to greater productivity and increasingly desirable business outcomes.
